Hey ca.org peeps...

The UK cant get enough of all the fighting, and claret being split, that we decided to carry on this love affair with eachother.

The North UK Vs The South UK
Subject for all matches - " Yourself as a Thunderdome warrior ". Beyond that, anything goes. If you have to have boundaries, sort something out between yourself and your competitor. As long as your final image is a character of some kind displaying something of your appearance and / or personality, it's all good.

Guys, can I suggest something? In general these TDs are plagued by not only the intolerable presence of northern scum, but also the continuing frustration of people not turning in their entries. We all have busy lives, so it's understandable. But personally, I'd really like to see a maximum turnout on the day. So how is everyone looking for this? I'd like to suggest that if anynoe doesn't think they'll be able to make it, that we give them a day or two to say so. Then anyone caught without a fight can sort something out. How does that sound?

I really like the one piont for submitting idea, btw. But I'd still like to see the fight come out as well as poss for our adoring public :)

I agree, but as soon as deadlines start to move about, they become very hard to hit.

As it happens, I probably won't be able to upload any finals that arrive in my inbox until the 15th or 16th of this month anyway, so our existing deadline of March 14th is already 'soft' but having said that, there's still eleven full days to go and that includes two weekends. When you consider we've been at this for two weeks already, any excuses about not having enough time start to look a bit weak. Part of the 'Thunderdome experience' is having to motivate yourself and organise your time to allow you to finish and submit your piece on time, so...

I suggest the deadline stands - Monday March 14th ( up to midnight according to the date on your email ). Miss this deadline, and you forfeit your point for submitting. You can still send your pic after this date, but you take a risk - I'll be busy on the 15th and 16th, so I'm not sure when I'll be uploading the files to my webspace. If your file hasn't arrived by the time I get around to it, you won't be entered for your challenge and your opponent wins by default. I don't want anyone to miss out, but I think there should be some penalty for missing a perfectly reasonable deadline, when other participants have made an effort to get their work done on time.

I've got an Epson Perfection 2580, got it for Christmas, I think it's under £80, and it does the trick. Then again I haven't tried much else so I can't compare... it's fast and the quality is good though, and the reviews I've read rate it pretty highly.

OI SARF, i'm flying down to london tonight so you wont need to see my final image to FEAR THE POWER OF THE NARF. Well i'm only staying for about 5 minutes and i'm flying even further south to Turin.

I had hoped to have been here for the viewing and battle results, but oh well. I'll comment fully when I get back, on my own and other pieces. I'm sure you all made masterpieces so well done in advance and thanks for making it possible.
