i really like that last one. colors and contrast are nice.
Now go work on your anatomy and gestures. they are still a little stiff. and do some head drawings.

hey, Tsukamoto rules!! I saw him in person!!

I missed the Tetsuo films but got a chance to see Bullet Ballet, Tokyo Fist, and Vital. I liked them a lot, especialy Vital and Bullet Ballet.

Saw a lot of great films at the festival.

Cool skull by the way, paintings are looking good too.

Hi man. Nice sketchbook.
The longlegged robots looks really cool - i dig the design - you got me with the one from April 27th, i was expecting long legs and then they suddenly stopped :wink: Anyway i really like those - good design, good colors and a very nice mood! The shooter has a nice helmetdesign, but maybe his arm is a bit stiff and short?
And btw - those skullstudies are some of the best i have seen here.

thank you for your time fellah. you are absolutely right about my mistakes.. the one from the 27th.. i hate him cause its too feng'ish and legs.. :zzz:

those were done in a hurry.. not just arm.. whole shooter is stiff and boring..helmet could be not so much of a cyclist helmet in it :er: today after work i will sure grab the pencil.. cause its too painful not be able to print stuff from your head.. just because you dont know stuff.. study study study :yayca:

I'm really digging the variety of this sketchbook. You've got your paintings, your speed paintings, your traditional sketchbook pages, and your traditional studies...nice work! Just from this small sample of your work, your understanding of color, lighting, weight and form, seem to be somewhat ahead of your mastery of anatomy and proportions. My advice would be to not half-ass your linework and make sure you've got your proportions really nailed down before going overboard with the paints. Of course, it's obvious that you're already working on these things, so just keep it up!

Great progress seen here! The first painting is really from different era! Your drawing is really great! I like the two legged robot-bug most. Great design and execution!

Hey man. Haven't seen your thread before which is a shame. Great stuff going on here. I'm not using photoshop basicly at all at this stage of my lifelong career as a man who loves to draw, so I really can't crit your work. The colours I do like a lot, the kind that I would use if I used colour. Four star material. Not five, cause I know that you will post even better ones in the future.

Very nice skull studies Thief! I enjoy them a lot. Cool digital work too. I also like the recent sketch you posted, the oldie with the guy and big shoulders. The lines give it a nice sense of design. Keep things going man!

Hey thief, quality stuff, I really dig the line quality on the bone studies and the pen sketches, lot of expression....I'd love to see some backgrounds introduced into the character drawings, it could do a lot to show a narrative and what not.....good stuff, keep drawing!!

I dig your robot designs most (the bw digi doodles)!! They are simply wonderful...

regarding your chow: I like the execution of this piece but I have big trouble with your mixing different sexes together (boobs on a male body). I found out that you have got problems with main gender differences.

Note that male has got wide ribcage/narrow hips/short neck and female has got narrow ribcage/wide hips/long neck (and boobs of course:tihi: ).

I´d like also see some of your quick sketches of the robots turned into painted artwork!:D - they simply rock as hell!

Hey, your work is really great! I have only one criticism, that monster thing with the skinny legs, how does it walk? I am guessing it has some kind of flying ability, because those legs don't look strong enough to carry that huge weight at all. It's a great drawing though and beautifally colored.
