This thread will officially be my first sketchbook ever. I stared thinking about getting into a drawing career last spring. Depending on how you look at it, I had very little or no experience in drawing anything. Since then I've taken some drawing classes and read some books (i.e. Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain) but really haven't been sketching like I should in order to improve. If I was lucky, I would take a drawing pad once a week. I went to the CA workshop in January (which Jason talked me into) and realized I was probably the most inexperienced and untalented person in the room. It sucked and I wanted to hop on the nest plane home everyday, but that's okay because now I know I need to sketch like mad and I should steadily improve.
Anyway, I'm mainly interested in environments/architecture so I'll be concentrating on that for now. Obviously, I'm going to need a lot of help in terms of technique, materials, and figuring out what I should draw. I'd be grateful for any suggestions/comments/and crits. you can give me.
Also, I want/need to sketch everyday but sometimes I need a little motivation. So if I don’t post on any particular day, please feel free to call me names, talk-down to me, and curse freely >:{ until I sketch something. Thanks!
