a guy i know asked me to make a graphic for a moto-helmet.
most likely it will be a fairly small black linework.
i have no idea what kind of paints should be used for this or if it is even feasable. maybe i should make it a sticker instead. anybody has any experience with plastic? i'm thinking acrylics or maybe some industrial-strength markers. another thing, does anyone know how to make a graphic on moto-jacket also? again, would acrylics or maybe spraypaint work? thanks!

generally, plastic bonds with plastic (acrylics are a plastic material). The problem comes when there is some kind of varnish on the plastic. (Or maybe I have no idea what I am talking about, heh.)
I would think there would be plenty of how-to's on the web about what kind of paint to use, etc. I bet there are lots of hobbiests who paint on helmets, jackets, etc. and who share info with each other on the best methods, best paints, etc. See if you can find some of their sites.

best of luck,
emily

I'm pretty sure acrylics would work out, you might want to rough the surface up a little under what you'll be painting, then clearcoat the helmet when you are done.
