Welcome to CA!
Very cool to see a you so young and already studying Andrew Loomis! Great stuff there. Post some more, man! Do you have any full body drawings as of yet? I'd really like to see some more!

no full body drawings yet, I am at the ball and plane section. I'm not real good with the angular faces, like using boxes instead of balls, any suggestions on how to make it work?

Wow, there are lots of posts in the sketchbooks. I looked at this a few hours ago and it was near the top, now it's at the bottom.

I'm having some trouble with the heads now. I'm trying to use the ball and plane method for drawing heads from Andrew Loomis's Fun with a pencil. I'm just not getting it, for some reason the faces look flat and elongated, and I can't get the chin/jaw to look right. Any ideas on how to fix it.

hope this help u a bit.. but anyways ur proceed at head drawing is really good O_o
chin jaw thing : try see how the chin and jaw looks when u see face from front.. then check it from profile..
between front and side view.. u just have the jaw line foreshortened in perspective... u can train that with drawing cubes and rotate them
(crappy perspective tutorial http://www.fragtasia.de/bob/2dstuff/_sketchbook/tut/ )
pm me if u got some more questions about heads or perspective
keep drawing ! >:D

For angular faces in boxes, I'd try and find Bridgman's work on it.
Here's a study on facial planes in boxes I did from George Bridgman's book Constructive Anatomy. Hope you don't mind me posting here:

I think Andrew Loomis has some like this... you can read his books online at www.saveloomis.org.

I'm going to have to look at this bridgeman guy. I don't mind you posting here at all. The squished one kind of looks like the heads i draw. I already know about www.saveloomis.org that's where I've been reading his books. I should probobly take a look at the figure drawing and the head and hands one.

Try and pick up a copy of Constructive Anatomy. It has detailed drawing of everything from tons of angles and in tons of motion. It's not a hard to find book, and should only cost about $8.00 US.
I found Loomis to have tons of good information, but personally I didn't like it as much as Bridgman's book. Birdgman taught Loomis, though, so you'll get the same stuff from either!
Good luck with the heads! If I find any great sources I'll let you know.

i like the work you are doing on heads, the biggest suggestion i would make would be to do some anatomy studies of the skull, your heads tend to have jaws that extend down really far without proper mass behind it
keep on workin and good luck
