DUNNO BOUT YOU LOT... but when i need to draw, i whap out the mp3 player and get on some good ol hardcore tunes goin, gives me a kick up the arse, starts the engine and motivates me into drawing like a madman.

Anyone else out there got a specific type of music that just makes u wanna draw till ur hands drop or is it just me? Im just curious.

Oh and when i say hardcore, i mean the british fast thumpin stuff like plus system, not that rock/metal "hardcore" pish.

i listen to really hardcore stuff...cannibal corpse, six feet under, kill what i adore, vader, etc.

John Williams and Bach. Also Zeppelin, perhaps. If I had some Zep tunes, that is...

Miles Davis or any kind of funky jazz or blues for that matter.

Whoa! Another CA.org member that listens to hardcore!

I listen to the CLSM - Transmission To Mars album all the time while drawing. I even have a good-sized vinyl collection. Although I’m mostly into break beat stuff lately.

Lol tagheur, not just me then! CLSM rings a bell, think i might have heard it before. U cant beat a bit of Scott Brown if u ask me, his stuff is very gabber like these days!

If u aint tried listenin to hardcore, Id give it a go, it really is great to get some kind of motivation on those crap dull grey days!

I usually listen to alternative music because it isn't distracting, and it gets my creative juices flowing.

When I want something totally hardcore, I toss in either of my two badass Dido CD's.

I think coco meant hardcore in the electronica sense... in that case I don't listen to much of that stuff... but in the punk/hardcore sense, yeah...

argh, you should check out some hardcore bands out of boston... bane, converge, and american nightmare are all really awesome. something about the cold weather i guess. the nerve agents was a great hc/punk band too..
