Combine meets the Flood...match made in heaven?

After my run this morning I began thinking of sci fi crossovers. I pondered the consequences of the Combine from HL2 opening a dimensional rift onto a halo and encountering the flood. Using the HL2 art book and many wasted hours on halo as a reference I decided that the battle would be interesting to say the least... ;)

Halo 2 and Half-life 2, do have very similar plots. i mean too similar...could it be that bungie is ripping off of VALVe?
