Hi! Here's my first image on this site. It's also posted on Finally Finished. I'm looking for c&c to help me improve and grow as an artist. Thanks. http://www.imgmag.com/images/fearlessfosdick/steve_sam-4xcopy1.jpg

aww that looks great, and old crit from me would be to expand to top of the image more, it crops alittle to close to the figure.

Fearless, is doesn't make sense to post the same image in two different threads.
Imagine every member would do this, it wouldn't be fun...so I would suggest to continue with this thread as you asked for help...

I'll post a link to this thread in order to keep things easy...

And now my reply, which i posted on the other thread...sigh...:

"Hey, FearlessFosdick...what a nick

It's great, and as we can see on your avatar you have something to show us...so what are you waiting for.

My only crit is on the composition. You should enlargen the canvas and make the samurai a little bit smaller....but the drawing itself is cool, also the typicall japanese look on the background and paper is fine!"

Sorry about the multiple posts, I got a little carried away. I think I will try expanding the top of the image, thanks.

In response to Muttonhead; funnily enough, I was thinking of having a smaller character jumping out of his way, probably a frog or a tanuki. I didn't have any sketches ready at the time though (scanner's at work.)

Thanks again for the feedback!

P.S. I didn't draw my avatar, it's a character from a french comic book called Quest for the Bird of Time I think. I hope that's not another faux pas on my part.
