Hi all, in a bit of a quandary! I'm inept when it comes to illustrator. A friend of mine has produced some line art as a stroke. The program wont let her fill the negative spaces it kinda joins portions of the stoke layer. Any idea what the problem is? The fill is only half of the image.

From the look of it, she's used individual vectors to draw the curves. Ths wouldn't be a problem on the lineart, but when you tried to fill it the vector wouldn't return to the original position, so the fill would take the most direct route, ie a straight line. Check the conections between the ends of the vectors, if they're seperate connecting them should help with this problem. Otherwise all I could suggest is flattening the whole thing and exporting to a paint program to fill it.

anyway, good luck getting it working

Dear Rebbecca
I found some information for you, about the artist you asked about
Yuval Yairi , 2 of his works can be seen at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem.
Since you r a New-yorker, maybe you should go and see his works at his gallery at Chelsea.
The most amazing works of photography i have ever seen.
best,
R
