Hey there

Just signed up and have a few questions.
I have been drawing for years but its only recently(last three years) i have considered it something i want to to as a carreer and i have decided i would like to aim to become a concept artist. i know this is not easy and takes large amounts of dedication but i,m willing.

I am currently just finishing sixth from(for those of you who dont know its kind of an on school campus) and hope to go to a nearby collage to do a course in grphics.

No i,m not sure what courses i need to take to proceed into concept art and if anybody has any tips please share.

I have not got any work to show at the moment to busy with in school projects currently designng book cover. But i hope to post some inn the future.

I have always been told i have a great amagination by my teachers and now i want to bring that onto paper more accuratly, dont get me wrong i can draw but i want to move into more realstic sketchs and thats my second questions how should i go about this?

Oh yeah, and i use markers, watercolours and Dx fineliners any tips on better tools.

Thank you

heres my advice--just draw from life as much as possible--thats it. to get better just takes ALOT of work. the secret to success is just doing work over and over and over and over.......

i agree. classes may teach you usefull things such as color theory, anatomy, etc. but what it comes down to is practice and more practice. think about what you draw, make sense of what you put down on paper. .... another 2 cents.
