Well I finally did it. Yesterday I ordered my Intuos3 tablet. I have been out of the Art world for some time now and desperately wanting to get back to drawing and doing more digital artwork, but lacking the proper tools and motivation...

My tablet should be here within a few days. Hopefully by the weekend. But now I am going to need to update my skills with a tablet. I have used older tablets (nothing this sophisticated) many years ago. I even have one the older wacom pre-cursors to the graphire.... (cant remember the name) It's in a box packed away somewhere (95 and 98 compatibility only). Any one have any suggestions for good tutorials with the included software? I am really looking forward to spending some time "Painting" again.

Also, I must appologize for not having posted in such a long time. The work that many of you contribute to this site never ceases to amaze and inspire me.

Thanks for any input

Hi,

Read the Intuos 3 User Guide/Manual and practice.

You should find tutorials for Painter Classic or Painter Essentials, whichever comes with your Intuos 3 tablet included with the software. If it's Painter Classic, look for them in the following folder:

procreate Painter Classic > Tutorials

Since I don't have Painter Essential installed, I can't tell you where they'd be but expect you'll find them either in a folder installed with Painter Essentials or in Help > Help Topics, in the appropriate chapters for whatever subject you're interested in learning.

You'll also find tutorials on the Wacom site.
