hi i need some comments for this 3d low poly model i did for a class assignment. its 1272 polys with a 256 x 256 texture map due to assignment specifications.

also can someone give me any pointers on how to make textures seam together? i know i can find tutorials on these but the ones i found are mostly for tiling textures. please help.

Love the concept! About the textures - looks that you have a little stretching going on on the legs? Looking good overall though.

On avoiding seems, if you don't have it already get Deeppaint 3D, which is a real-time 3d painting program. You can export your Maya/max/ etc models too it, and use it to get rid of seems because you can paint over it on the actual model. It also works in conjuction with photoshop so you can jump back and forth as needed.
