As in the title, this is my first real attempt at photoshop. I used a Wacom board for everything, lines colors and concept are all my own and all done directly on the computer. It's still pretty rough, but I'd like any help some more experienced artists could give. Oh, also, I just put together a little page with a few of the other things ive done...itd be nice to get feedback on my portfolio, as it were, as a whole. thanks!

Not so bad for a first try dude. I would recommend checking out killing.people's photoshop tutorial (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=18980) , and lots of practice. Oh, ond the perspective on the monsters head is a bit screwy

yeah thats a good good first shot-
its good you have a tablet. Aye - yer teeth arent rite on the monster - using the nose as a line to judge perspective the teeth further away go too far back - you should be seeing another fleshy bit in the corner of the mouth there.jaw line looks a little squint to.
:-)
try some more colours in it - check out lizards skin in some online pix, try a dappled/mottled pattern on the back of the neck/spine area
the old movie WILLOW has a nice simillar monster in it ILM made - called eborsisk - thats would be a nice ref point.
good stuff man keep at it.
