hey guys, the workshop was a great time, its too bad that plague made its way through just about everyone
i caught it on day 2 and had to leave early and wasnt really well for the rest of the workshop :/
but anyways, on the first day of the workshop we had out sketch table set up and later in the afternoon marko and i worked on a collaboration drawing... marko started it by laying in lines and then passing it to me for 15-20 minutes and then back and forth.. this was the result

on the third day, marko and i worked on another collab, for this one marko did a character line drawing and then passed it on the me to do all the rendering

on the first day of the workshop i started out by drawing in my sketchbook, here is a scan of that page

a few nights before the workshop as we (coro, marko, rich, andrew, jason, melissa, and i ) were all hanging out at coros house, marko did this drawing of me as a degenesis character

it was great to see everyone again at the workshop and meet lots of new people, i wish i would have caught more names of people... looking forward to the next

and for all the sf people, we need to get a sketch night up and running here! also, any sf people go to any weekly figure drawing sessions?

Those are some awe inspiring sketches. The Marko drawing is freakin' tight. Hey, I'm down for weekly figure drawing, or sketching, whatever, and I'm in the bay area. So count me in. Alot of figure drawing sessions have been canceled due to school vacations. Please, anybody, let me know if you can find a place that is still in operation.

Who else thinks that Wes and Marko should make sweet love and spawn an amazing child artist?

I know there's an open life drawing session in the mission on tuesdays. I haven't been in a while, but I'm pretty sure it's still going on. Here's the details ...

Tuesdays - San Francisco

Drop-in figure drawing workshop

Great models, relaxed friendly atmosphere and plenty of space to spread out. Drawing horses, drawing boards, large work tables and easels available. Brush up on your drawing skills or explore new techniques. Everyone is welcome, no previous experience necessary. The focus of these drawing sessions is on gesture and short poses.
The studio is located in The Old Sears Building, an artist studio complex in the mission district. Easy parking, close to BART and MUNI.
Tuesday evenings, 7-10pm. $10 per session
Call or email now to reserve a spot for Tuesday.
Phone = 415 821-7566 / cell 722-9183
Address = 3435 Cesar Chavez (at Valencia) Studio #302, San Francisco

Which I found a while back on at this website (http://www.artistresource.org/lifedraw.htm)

It would definitely be cool to get a sketch session started.

Just a thought.. Ive been looking throught these threads and I realized something... That even though great amounts people went to the workshop and great drawings came out of it, there isnt one central place that we could go to, to look at it.... Can someone create a thread with all works of art that were created during the workshop???
