cuc> probably blonde or white, I already got some charas with black hair. I could go for brown too... I wanted a slight tomboyish look so It will be short anyways.

egerie> hehehe, it's just me making the head a tad too large. I should draw it last and not first. I usually draw the legs 50% of the body size rather than 45 or whatever is normal. I don't make my females 'miss world'-like though.
Well, look for yourself (no ref doodle sheet):

In the same vein as egerie's comment: Finally, a female wearing armor that looks like it would actually protect her! ;)

Nice job Prometheus|ANJ, I enjoy your line quality and I also am impressed with your coloring. The picture has a delicate nature to it. If anything, I'd want you to finish coloring it.

rimwalker : LOL yes that too was part of my suprise :)

Prometheus|ANJ : hmm personally I'm an advocate of drawing the heads first. But you seem to do very well either way !
Now as for the head being too big, .. she looks to me like she's a young tomboyish compact girl. And if you look her right hand, it looks in good proportion to her face.
And yes long legs (45%) is yummy but miss-worldy is just .. too much ! (and not it's not jealousy ;) )

I'm really looking forward to see more of it !

I love your thumbnails. Very expressive! I know what you mean about the head. I find that when I block in the body I often have to adjust the head... but drawing the face is my favorite part, so I usually just do it anyways :)

Very nice work Prom! Like to see the use of watercolors. Gives it that very subtle feel to the piece. Keep up the good work, and that page of sketches rocks!
