Imho it claims for some action, I mean, as is, it seems a surrealist family photo session™, but I think it could be very interesting to add some action, for example, the horse runing after his other half or so. Perhaps it is not what you try to achieve but.. :p
I think also, it would be nice another light point, a very subtle one, from left for example, and incresasing the contrast a little bit (dark zones) and refining the "radiosity" :D, and, at last, may I suggest using some color.. ? :p

Hey! really nice lighting...originally I was going to say that i like the lighting but some of the detail might be lacking...but now after looking at it for a while, i think that the detail is pretty close to where it should be because the peice, to me, is about this nice lighting... I would like to see some thing else in the back though...maybe something to add to the overall story of the peice... nice job

hey maybe some really nuetral colors might add to the spookiness like some hints of green on the alien and stuff..

and also i see that you have some pure whites int there..but i dont see pure black....one thing my illustration teacher told me...always push the extremes.
