i drew this one a while back and while running around like a chicken with its head cut off... (gathering work to get into an updated portfolio for wednesday) i thought this could use some color before adding it. just wanted to post for a quick critique...

wow--kick ass piece man. Love the highlight on the hair and the painterly quality of the clouds--
the only critique i can give would be that the hovercraft comes a little too close to the edges of the picture --when objects meet or almost meet the border it creates a visual tension--maybe a little more breathing room? welldone!--ty

Well done but the perspective of the hoverboard is off. The left wing is to long and not in line with the right one. Furthermore the tip of the board is off, too. My probb is I know whatīs wrong but I donīt find the right words for it ;). Maybe draw first a perspective grid of it ...

Yeah! It rocks!
The guy is great. The lineart and the colurs, and the light behind him. Everything's just fine.
But there is something wrong with the perspective on the fly-machine. Look at the front of it - the light module is a little bit more on the left of the guy. And also look at the wings. Both are not the same. His left is higher.
But all my crits are just a technical side. The whole picture is GREAT!

just for the record--the perspective IS a little of---but not enough to mess with the peice--so it DOESNT bother me--ty

Coloring is great, but the actual drawing of the kids face is what turns me away from it. The coloring is done so well the face doesn't live up to it. Also the heavy outlines of the hair and the swirl shape from the strap of the bookbag I don't like much. But there is a lot of beautiful things happening in the whole piece.
