Hey everyone! Okay, I KNOW this arn't the shizziat! But I thought I would throw them here anyways for some critics...hopefully you guys might be able to help me fix my painting problem. I just got my tableto today and I've been using it all day.

I have access to Painter and Photoshat. These paintings were done in Painter, but please, let me know how to make em look better. Who knows, mabey pracitce is the answer? Love ya all!

Eh, for starters you might want to spend more time in the planning stages before you sit down at your computer to paint. Most artists sketch out a plan, the composition, colours, contrast and so on before they start working.

Also, are you planning to just paint straight onto Painter? It looks like you're treating Painter like traditional watercolour by just applying the paint without any outline underneath. Most of the work you see at conceptart.org or other places like eatpoo and digitalwebbing are colors being applied to scanned lineart. People draw things or download finished inks on the web and paint them using the tools in painter and photoshop. It takes a lot of time to complete one piece depending on how familiar you are with the program and whether or not you've had things planned out in advance.

I would suggest just downloading lineart and color them in OR at least make sketches and notes of how you want the finish product to look like before you proceed.
