Dude,

what a blast!

I'm back in Florida, working, almost recovered from the huge experience of the Workshop. My left ear is all fucked up from the cabin pressure on my flight yesterday, so I'm half deaf, sneezy and whatnot. But I feel great. Was there anyone who survived this Workshop without catching a cold? :^^;:

Thanks to everyone who attended and I hope you guys had a great time. I for my part had one. Just wanted to shout out my deepest respect for MELISSA who we all need to thank for making this event happen. Without you, we would be nothing! A big Cheers to my friends ANDREW, CORO, WES, PETEY, HPX, NOX, J, RICH(my fucking phillipino) & BOMBA, for giving me great laughs and one amazing time. I can't wait to move to Frisco soon and be around you daily *lol*

On top of that, I'm so happy to had the chance to hang out with some of you guys more than in Austin, especially RON, JP, VANESSA and MR. I HAVE NO EGO BECAUSE I'M SOO HUMBLE JON FOSTER. You definatly made my days even brighter!

I hope I could give you something back in return for this great event and all you guys who got one of my sketches, I hope you enjoy 'em!

Can't wait for the next Workshop in September!

All the best
Marko

I got your "merman" sketch and it's hanging proudly by my drawing table now as a constant inspiration and reminder of the great time I had at the workshop. Thanks so much for being so generous with your sketches.. it was tough to decide which one I wanted! I think I might be the only one who didn't get a cold at the workshop.. I'm from Seattle, so maybe I'm just used to all that rain! Can't wait for the next workshop!! Thanks again!!! :yayca:

It was great watching you draw marko! it was definetly an inspiring experience! Thanks a lot for doing kickass demos with dozens of people behind you!
Im still suffering from PWS, post workshop syndrome. I think my friends are saving up to buy me a straight jacket, and a lot of duct tape. :confident

Hey Marko,

I told you on the first day how impressed I was that you were willing to lay all your work out and leave it for hours, but I was touched to watch you pull out a mat knife and slice your He-Man redesigns out of your sketchbook. That speaks volumes.

Prostate Sunrise carried my signed Tri-Klops out in his backpack to protect it from the rain, so I am assuming it is somewhere in Seattle. (Hey Kekai, bring it by the school and join me in a presentation. I am being swarmed with questions and emails and everyone wants to see the conference photos.)

I too, am finally getting over the "Thunderdome Syndrome" but had subs for a couple of classes this week while I figured out how to walk and talk again.

I will have Tri-klops framed and hung at school for many more aspiring concept artists to enjoy. Thanks for sharing so much with all of us,
Kathryn

It was awesome to be there and watch you and all the other instructors and artists work and answer questions... I learnt a hell of a lot, which I hope to be able to put into practise soon...

I managed to sneak off with the drawing of the 4-armed monster I watched you draw on the third day, so that was very cool. I just need to find a place to put it where it won't get damaged!

(Damn you, Eli, I wanted the Merman one, but I got to the desk too late so I had a vastly limited selection to choose from!)

ROCK ON.

so many people caught the virus huh?
your patience in answering questions has helped so many people marko, one of em was me. Danke man.
Is that german for thanks?

its strange that even though all the other great artists are offering tips and tricks, the short answers that you given me has more impact. Thought Id share that with others. I paraphrased it a bit.
1. FEEL MORE, THINK LESS. Bust your ass learning all the anatomy and perspective so that you flow when you create.

2. Open your eyes.
observe the world around you, remember. ("take mental notes"Marko).

3. Have confidence in your pencil strokes.

I managed to remain healthy through the whole trip. But I was eating those halls vitamin c drops by the bagfull.

Marko! Thank you for letting us all watch you work and for answering our questions. I've got your Skeletor at the framers and I think Frazettas gonna have to come down to make space for it on the wall. Watching you draw was amazing, like some sort of sorcery. It's a good thing you don't have your own Marko Draws television channel or I wouldn't ever get anything done. Seeing everyone else's work and techniques was trully awesome too, but I spent most of my time leering over Markos shoulder hypnotized. I had a blast it was great to meet everyone, such a mind blowing experience. I got home and it still feels like it was all a dream. Thanks everyone.

I made it relatively unscathed.
I don’t think I had enough blood in my alcohol system to catch a virus...
