I did this recently, because i just wanted to draw another creature...

I think there isn't a need to describe the concept, though i hate it, when someone doesn't....what?...nah...there are a few things to do, but i wasn't keen on going much into detail with this piece...anyway c&c much...ah...you know... ;)

Now that is very cool!

Only thing I might suggest is adding some highlights to the head, in the dark area, because the dark area kind pushes the head back (visually).. I probably am not making much sense. Cannot think of a better way to put it. The head just doesn't stand out.. looks like it's in shadow.. although it does look pretty menacing with just the eyes and the blowhole (LOL, is that what it is?) poping out from the dark area.

I really like this! Sweet mixture of bug and reptile..

Hey fozzy! nice work there, I would agree bump up the contrast on him, and really push the lightsource a ton and it will look 100x more dynamic. great work so far.

I love the stripes on the back, they really are pleasing to look at! The highlights on the scissors blades really make for a nice shine effect and that red on them -- great job of making them look freshly snipped!

The orifice on the head could be a lot of fun... I can just imagine it puffing out a mist that stuns you before you're all snipped up, or perhaps a mist that paralyzes you but leaves your senses intact so you feel what's about to be done to ya!

Neat colorscheme overall, scary guy there!

Fozzy - you should draw more - it's a shame to waist the time when you can create such stuff. Keep on drawing man! keep on drawing...

Hey Fozzy cool concept. The rendering is good, too. If you wanted you could probably get more realism by using some sort of reptile reference for the skin texture.

Nice job... post more.

Wow, thanx to everyone for the replies...i like this :D

oglzogl - yes, you're right with the head! After finishing (or declared as finished :)) I thought of the same..."some highlights in the hairy part had to be...hmmm...nah, go sleepin', it's 4 o'clock in the mornings..."...orifice...yes, that's what it looks like...

I liked mgc3003's description. This was similar to the concept i was thinking of...I also thought of some acid...like flies spit out to dissolve their food for better digesting...very good reply mgc3003, but what's this nick? Confusing me everytime when writing it...

Chris - Interesting reply.

mtomczek - I am fighting with the brightness on my monitor...seems that it's too dark...

Oblio - I WANT to draw, but i have very limited time after work...it's like having two souls in one heart...i am torn between so much things...

Scotty - I would say it's time to make a sculpture for you...of this creature! Ready, Set, Clay! (man, you give me the idea of a totally different coop-work...)

rimwalker - thx

direwolf - Yeah, it looks cute, and be sure you'll get a cute haircut by him too...i'll arange a date for you...

Yaseck - Me too

Mr.Magnetichead - Hmmm...judging from what your nick sounds like, you played this game to much...is it a game at all? Impossible Creatures i mean....or maybe i am just dumb...

Aaargh...i hate this...while writing a huge reply to the feedbacks, another one replies...

Ok, a special answer to you, bonedog!

Thx and...

...you're absolutely right about the skin and the texture. I was aware to this, therefore I didn't draw any reptile skin, because it's too much work...ok, call me lazy...now CALL me lazy you dirty xq##x@q?#"!!!

Impossible creatures is a yet to be released real time strategy game for the pc where each player takes over the role of a dr. Moro-esque character who creates new creatures through dna munipulation to get rid of your opposition.

Its quite a fun game and the amount of freaky creatures you can create is almsot infinite.
