Hi all,
I've been working on this piece on and off since early in the school year, and I'd like some advice on color, and a redline if possible for the gryphon's front forearm. This thing is driving me crazy, I've repainted it about four times now, it's just roughed in until I get some good anatomy for it.
I lurk a lot on conceptart, I'm just shy. 0_0
I saw Jason and Andrew at their RSAD presentation and I guess as Jason told me "Hi, I'm fairly new here, and a girl." However, harsh crits are fine with me. :P

The probmen with your color is that its all to bright, and those colors have problems going together at the best of times. When i have trouble i take a photo of some bushland and use my color picker to create a swatch of natural tones. They arn't nessisarily dull tones, and they do go together. I've attached the image.

I think that the gryphons right arm is fine, it's the left one that needs changing, goving the creature more of an agressive siloette.

Tive put the image here:
