because my digital cam grew legs and walked away while i was teaching in austin. andrews turned up missing too so we figured out that they couldnt bear being apart and eloped to hawaii or fiji.

haha, oh wow i remember this one ;p i wasnt actually expecting to be in one of the pictures taken (half of me in the background looking like a idiot).. but thats me looking at the amazing process that Coro was doing.. i saw through the whole process.. i must admit, this was very inspiring to see the pros doing their thing. Hopefully i will post some of my progression as i go along ;p
San Fran was fun as hell, it really did change my perspective on art in general. Cant wait for the next one already :D

..too bad i forgot my camera at home ;x i would of loved to have my own pictures of this amazing event ..

Quick note. The thumbs pages is pretty light, but the images are all 800x534. I optimized them bunches. Between 50 and 150k. If you have a slow connection, bring a book.

I had a great time this year even though I ended up pretty ill.
Maybe it was all that sushi?

It was so good to see all of you again and meet some of you for the first time.
I got a little school girl giddy around Foster on the first day, but that wore off and I was back to normal.

I saw some great portfolios and some great improvement over the last 6 months too.

I can only say 'what a site on the eyes', though there was alot of rain to be seen and cold winds to be felt, I was in aww of the city. I met many people and learned so much not only about the artist and how they work, but also from the students that attended. I've come back with more energy, insight, and respect for this line of work ( concept art that is). So much talent so lil time, I can honestly say that I didn't talk to everyone or even get all everyones name, but I tried my best to peek at as many sketchboks as I could, and it was a real rush to see all the crazy ideas that lurked in each person. I hope and pray Jason gains the time to do another workshop next yr. till then enjoy the few pics I have

This is Dylan and myself. Dylan, your session helped me alot,
especially how you start with the sky because that dictates the
lighting because it is the light source.
Also how you construct the perspective from the plate in such a fast yet precise way.

The flight home... It's great to be back.

What an Inspirational event. The Amount of talent gathered in one biulding at one time was phenominal. It was Truely a beutiful thing. Mad Props To Jason For running around like a chicken with his head cut off, and putting so much time and energy into the event..Jason said he missed a few nights sleep but, It paid off in the end because it all came together.... off the hook.

Artkitty commandeers my blue beanie and forces me to wear this technicolor rat hat while I was outside. I end up going into the workshop with it on for a bit.
I had full on conversations with that thing on. Like important conversations. It's hard to give out advice or look serious in that thing. Oh, then Jason said something on the mic and people looked in my direction. That was priceless. I could have been wearing a helmet and got less attention.

It looks good on you, but most guys that would be forced to wear that would rather be scalped.

I'm actually pretty proud of the fact that every picture that I've been in I'm drawing or paying attention to an instructor in between drawing.. any thoughts that I might have spent too much time bs'ing are gone because of that.
