Im quite new here. Been drawing for about 3 years and I would like to know what kind of pencils, rulers, ink and colouring material you girls and guys use :) Ive gotten some pointers from friends and webpages but if you have any tips at all, please tell me :)

I think kchen or someone uses these ones-
"
Conte's Pierre Noir 1710 charcoal pencils, Wolf's Carbon pencils, or my new favorite, Faber-Castell's Pitt Charcoal pencils. The Pitt Charcoal pencil is essentially vine charcoal in pencil form. "
Conte 2b is really good in sticks if you can get it, it's good for almost everything. Prismacolor black is nice too, kind of waxy but it runs out fast from sharpening. Rulers..umm..a T ruler is nice, can use it for all sorts of things, like using the edge at the top to quickly straighten your ruler on the page or using it as a mahl stick to rest your hand on while drawing (using the edge to hang on your easel if you have one, won't work otherwise.) Anyways I don't think pencils will have much affect on how good your drawing is, I think the main point is to use whatever you have and worry about materials once you're a pro hehe. Unless you're doing cast drawing or something specific where only certain materials'll do what you need.

I think it's nearly unimportant which tool you use, it's about what you make out of your materials.
although.. it's interesting to know how the others do it
I already posted it somewhere, I usually use a simple Faber-Castell TK-Fine 1306 Pencil (the blue.. errr soft :) ) and 100 g/m˛ paper. My explorations in color are not very far yet :)
Feng Zhu has got some nice equipment.. check it out

what do you mean Davi
Conte is a brand, they make graphite pencil, charcoal pencil, pierre noire pencil, chalks, colored pencils, etc ....
personnally from conté i quite like the 1710 pierre noire like people already said, but especially the soft 2B and 3B.
But i admit that i like even more the soft feeling of true vine charcoal, even if it is messy.
the "carré conté" is nice too (little chalks, in a lot of colors and softness)
