Hey Guys -
I got back from SF last night, and thought I would post 3 pages from my sketchbook. I was floored by the amount of talent at the workshop and by how aproachable the instructors were. Big props to JP Targete, Frank Cho, Brendan Peterson and Dylan Cole. I had an awesome time - and hopefully learned alot too ;)

Nice work man! That pic of the girl(2nd page) rocks ass. Can't wait to talk to you and hear what you picked up from the trip. Hopefully I can make it to the next sketchgroup. Later man!

A newbie to the board, just joined yesterday so I am still working out this whole "post/respond/type" thing. I have never been a member of a forum before (and I have worked on computers since 1990... imagine that) so I am trying my best.
The woman at the bottom of the third page is great... I like her form and shape. Funny thing is, out of all of these I thing the best is the little horned-head guy from the 2nd page. Maybe it is because he has the most character or that his face is the most expressive. The look in his eyes and the shape of the mouth fully convey the look (arrogance?) of the character. He breaks the flatness of the paper more so than any of the others and feels the most "real".
If any of that makes any sense. Great work....

Yeah - Sanf Fran was really great. James Zhang from factor 5 was totally approachable - looking at everyone's stuff - always very positive. It was great to see how all these guys work - *Very* different approaches. His main comment when looking at the stuff I brought was that I should try for some more realistic rendering to vary up my style a bit. So, I'm trying to use the markers and pencil shading more...

Excellent work there, I really like the way you combine thick and thin lines one the people. The picture of the lady with the dagger in the third picture rules!
The truly funky one
