'ello all,

This is a quick digital concept painting of a larger oil painting I'm gonna do in the near future.

It's spiderman alright, but not in his normal costume... more like an alternate version of his alternate black costume ;)

Thoughts and comments are ofcause more than welcome...

Interesting, looks like he is ready to spring into action... I always liked his black costume better ... the other one makes him look like a clown or an acrobat or something. Is this part of a larger picture or is this the picture itself? (the artwork to be I mean) And will the light come from behind him?

Very nice....but...will he be floating on nothing like that? I don't think so, but if he is, it doesn't look that great. I can see him sitting maybe a top a tall building or on anything for that matter. heck a fire hydrant would work!:p

One thing I'm not sure is working correctly are the perspective of the hands. They look a bit on the flat side. But it looks like you did that on purpose, and I kind of like that. I'm not sure though?

Lets see some w.i.p's of the oil painting when you work on it!

smal question: was this done in photoshop or in painter?

to me, his left leg looks a bit too relaxed for this dynamic pose.

thanks for replying guys... :)

LaPalida - yeah, I like the black costume also, though the red and blue one still is the classical one. Which I like very much still. :) The light is indeed intended to come from slightly behind and above him, yes! :)

Iwasink - thank u! I know, what you mean, and I really did try that out with spidey running down the side of a building but I just couldn't get it right and to be frankly I'm kinda tired with the vision so I tried to do a little more graphic approach to him. He's not really floating but resting on ground/snow or something...

I dont have a digi camera, but I do have plans of getting one very soon, so I might be able to do some wip pictures of the oilpainting process.. lets see :)

This was done in PS7. A little more than an hour I think...

Cucaracha - really? Hmm... I will think about changing it. I kinda like it as it is.. Maybe tomorrow I feel different. Thanks for telling me! :)
