Supposed to be a camera pan for a pan shot with 2 different perspectives. the middle trunk and log are the central conversions. I'll probably animate the water

I can blow this up a bit more if needed for better critique

I'd like to see a bigger version, but what I see is beautiful. Very nice! :)

good lighting--that tree in the middle cuts the peice in half making it feel like two seperate peices.--ty

WerxOne-Sometime on Saturday I'll probably post it up :-)

AiA-I'm mostly self taught with painter and such.

I first do a finished pencil rendering of the piece. This is very messy and I make sure that there is little blank paper popping through(more on this) I do this because I can't draw as well on the computer as I can in real life. I use an awful AIPTEK tablet that goes crazy now and again :bash:

scan it in and do the general color scheme in photoshop with 2 layers. The top layer is set to COLOR with the colors and the bottom is the image. This helps me easily set up a color scheme.

Flatten it and pop to painter

I first use the ADD WATER tool to blur and mesh things about. The graphite already added to the image gives me something to work with. Then I just switch around to the Painting Tool, Add water tool, Charcoal tool, and sometimes the Liquid ink tool.

that's bout it :-)

cheers!

here's the bugger in action without any characters in

For some reason, my ancient version of aftereffects doesn't have any function bars. So basically no slow in no slow out

anyways

http://www.geocities.com/artguin/hi.avi

I added to it with another painting with some cheesy light effects

and yet again

"COPY the url listed above and PASTE it into your favorite browser. Then and Only then will the all mighty geocities server will grant thee access."

I'll get a permanent web site soon! I promise!

whee!

that's really nice.

if there's any way to put it on layers, i'd seperate the FG trees from the BG elements and maybe even go a third level in to make use of the multi-plane aspect if you can.
As things move at different speeds depending on their distance from the camera.

just a thought.
