I don`t know if any of you heard of him. But I`ve read most of his books now, and I`ve quietly grown quite fond of this chubby little bespectaceled man. Now I know he`s done a column, but does he still do it? And in which paper?

Thanks. And if you don`t know him, you should. Though don`t be surprised when you find everyone in the train staring at you because you`re laughing so madly. His humor isn`t really all that deep, and sometimes somewhat childish, but that`s what I like anyway

I'll agree with many people on the thought's of Bill Bryson, those of columnists in London. He comes over to live in London (the really fuckin nice expensive part) then goes on loacl news and say's it's too dirty on the street's. F**K OFF back to wherever your from (US?) if it's cleaner otherwise do what everyone else does and step round/over it.

I hear his books are good though.

A Short History... is one of my favorite books of all-time.
