Hello all! :^^:
_Xenallure_, an independant game design project, is looking for multiple concept artists who can produce drawings for 3-d modellers to work from. We are going to need anime-style characters, architecture in 3 distinct cultural styles, decorative elements ranging from graffiti to celtic knotwork, clothing from punk/goth to chinese/fantasy, landscapes, plants, monsters (both fantasy animals and robots), storybording, cinematics, combat moves, special effects, etc.
The current version of our design doc including some of my (less than great) concept sketches:

(This version is a bit old because we took time off for Xmas break, but a new revision will be going up later this week, and a project homepage will be going up as soon as you provide us with some art to decorate it with. :tihi:
So, if you are interested in joining our team, please reply stating which sorts of concept art areas (listed above) you are interested in working in, how much time you will be able to devote to this project per week, and a link to samples of your art. :^^:

Hmm, a story summary might be helpful:
Xenallure, a Tapestry of Hearts is a science-fantasy RPG/adventure hybrid wth dating simulation elements.
There are 3 races (these are only their working names):
Magicals have a pre-modern culture with a duotheistic, dualistic, nature-focused religion. They have strong gender roles and strong clan-lke families. They look human except for an assortment of animal traits e.g. cat ears and tails, bird wings.
Technos have a postmodern high-tech society with nanobots and artistic cybernetic additions to their bodies. All technos are hermapphrodites. They look like gothic/cyberpunk humans with chinese or egyptian eyes. Their cultureis atheistic and has a non-capitalistic economy based on popularity (rather like the fanwriting community), because with the ablity to synthesize matter there is no scarcity, and no 'work' except what people are self-motivated to do.
Spirtituals are mysterious and rarely seen because they are immortal and prefer not to interact with mortals. They don't garden or hunt because they don't need to eat, they absorb all the energy they need from sunlight or the spiritual energies of the earth (haven't decided yet). They are mostly unemotional and have a zen/tao transcendentalist religious philosophy.
The setting is an island on what is actually future Earth, but no one finds that out until well into the game. Now, the story: the magicals and technos usually mutually ignore each other, so you would think any cooperation between the two races would be a good thing, right? But actually it's a meddling techno folklorist seeking knowledge about spiritual powers who recruits an abused, outcast magical to combine their technologies. They try to summon the "source of spiritual powers" and get... a baker's dozen of confused humans from about the year 2150.
The humans escape, scatter, and hide, leaving you, the 13th human (gender and name chosen by the player) to figure out what this weird world is, what you can do in it, and what you should do in it. Once you demonstrate the ability to use both magical and techno powers the 'villains' will be after you, realizing that maybe you are the source of spiritual powers after all.
You can pursue a few different paths: going native as a magical or a techno, or being loyal to your race by gathering the other humans and helping them build a settlement of their own, and attempting to court any of 10 RNPCs (romanceable non-playable characters). The game also has a game+ feature where you can replay the game retaining some of the things you earned in the first play-through, righting mistakes and exploring different romances and plot branches.

*Sigh* no one's interested, huh? I really wish I had $ to offer you, but being a starving artist myself, I just don't. :(
Well, if anyone has any suggestions on what I should say differently or where else I should look to find a concept artist, I'd be happy to hear them, because we really do need to find at least one, preferably within the next 2 weeks. I can draw some of the stuff we need, but I'm just not good enough at people to do our characters justice...
My portfolio, for the curious:
