Hi,
I am new here. Please dont beat on the noobie :).
I just wanted to know what people here think of my art. I don't draw often. Usually just a doodle or so but sometimes I just sit down and render a picture for no apparent reason. Well here are few that I did a while ago and I just wanted to know what you guys thought of them. Technically wise etc.
So I guess without further ado here is the first pic. It's an evil skeleton in a swamp.

Well I just decided that maybe that was a little small ... so here's a bigger version
P.S. It's done in a ballpoint pen

Looks good to me! Man, imagine what you could do if you drew ALL THE TIME! :)
I like the lighting and the fact that the quality of the image is consistant overall (i.e., it's not like the face is really good but then the cloth or background really sucks or something like that)
Do more. :)

Here is another one that I like
It's a study I did in Painter on a sketch... Tell me what you think.

Your first image is great! It's like an illustration in a fantasy book or something. The all around tight rendering and contrast makes it stand out, grabs the eye, and maintains interest.
The second image though isn't so strong as the first. It's too soft and blended? And it looks like white was painted into the image causing it to have a "greyed-over", glazed sort of look.

Thanks for you comments guys. I usually try not to comment on my work so that everyone elses comments wont be slanted. I did that once and that's all everyone saw, exactly what I pointed out. Anyways here is a sketch that the dragon's head above was taken from for a test in Painter.

Yeah I suppose I should. Gotta find the time for it ... it's like school keeps me away from it and then there's videogames :) Ah well one day ...
