Hey all - these are some works done for a class im taking. Low poly character is the next assignment.

I like them, but you need to improve your metal textures.

It's in german, but you'll be able to understand it :)
One addition: It seems a bit weird to me that a barrel is made of wood

nice textures. i like the raw hide. did you use a photo for your textures or did you paint them urself?

cucaracha : Thanks for the input, I'll take the webpage to translator to get it down right.
Zakarian : I start with a base photo texture, and then paint over it as needed. It ends up being a mixture of the two.

Nice work. I think you could reduce the polys and make use of a really good texture. Like on the gun's main body(not the barel) it could just be a square with a good texture. Hope you know what I mean.

Sketch: You are right, that was a problem area for me - the shots there are what I tried to go back and re-do.
Here's a shot of what I have of the character so far. Still pretty early, out max is 3500.
