fantastic color...two great batches of paintings to see.
what is their teachers name...i forget his name at the moment as I am tired...he paints peasant girls and such...I think he lives in the midwest. oh well..he may not be their teacher...but it looks like it.
those are great examples of how good your color can become if you PAINT FROM LIFE!!!!!!!!

Damn they are great, Some of Burdicks paintings are outstanding.
But, I nearly fell asleep after the 10th painting, he just repeats the same thing waay too often. However I still admire his diligence and dedication, a very good craftsman.

These two came to the American Academy of Art in Chicago, Back in the day there were many great teachers here and many great artist came out of this school, Sunbloom, Howard terpening, Alex Ross, Dan gerhtz. Also another place were burdick and susan studied was at the Pallette and Chisel here in Chicago, That place is amazing models pose 7 days out of the week you can come on in and draw, paint, sculpt, any thing you want to do; open workshops they call it. I guess Ricahrd Schmid used to paint there so after all day of schooling at the AAA students used to go at night and paint along side Schmid, a wealth of learning was going on back then, I guess that's one of the reasons these two are so good.
