only 2, 2 cool ones at that. Here is my addition, I guess her wings of death would be considered her Fairy Weapons, lol.

I encountered many hardships when doing her folded arms..I guess I should have used a ref.

Damnation on my connection!
Anyway here is a member of the "Heavy Ground corp." on a black beetle tank.
These guys are in charge of ground perimeter control, they are equipped with a crossbow and armor piercieng arrows.
Painter 45 min or so.

Soulfrog - is that a bondage fairie? :perv:

It looked cool in my head, but the freaking "taunt" strings make it seem like a pogo-stick-bow for a 12 year old. Granted, one with a killer edge, but nyah...
teyekani, very ill textures.
Soulfrog: I see you've recognized the real weapons *grin*
Snowball: Very cool pose, even if the fold of the arms is screwy. Great attitude.

Happy new year anyway. 365 daily sketches on the way :bashful:

While DSG Bot is recovering from the righteous bender it had last night, some crits to idol away the time :

Snowball : I enjoy your linework immensely. Boy do I hate conceptualising arm placement aswell :^^;: . Cropping the image down to something that sits more snuggly around the figure would maybe make her seem less small  . Also a rule I was taught way back at Graphic Design School : try not to crop a figure below the knees/ below the elbow unless you absolutely have to. Something to do with stability and negative space being skewed.

Hamsta : I like the idea of using insects as mounts. The red insignia shining through the armor is an awesome touch. The perspective makes me have to look at the image for a while to discern whats going on. But in that time I found I liked it :) ( a battlefield aspect validates the destructive nature of your subject - u were going for that right?) - on the bondage fairy thing - if u want her to be, she is :)

Jack Frost : LOL - Nice whit. Disney would be greatly displeased with you actually adding character to well, their characters. Giving her a pirate peg leg puts across her mood very well ( still a gigglin'). Gatling guns are just too damn kewl, giving one to a fairy LOL! Plus giving her punk green hair... about this character a lot I like, yes!

Radasa : What an incredibly strong and emotive pose. *ENVY*
The bow size and orientation makes me think that the bearer is a lot smaller thou - which actually works for me. I really like the idea of a "half-bow" - one side is a blade the other is a bow - did I understand this right? NICE!

franticflame : I like the grace of your figure, something funky like "Opening Lotus Blossom with Blade" in Kung Fu, right?. The negative space you created with the arms and head is however dummied down immensely by the wings ( which cut them into smaller less dramatic negative spaces ). Lighter tones come to the foreground and darker tones receed into the background and the wings being such a cool blue - confuses the orientation in space the figure takes up for me. Nice conceptualization.

Soulfrog, yup yup, that is absolutely right. I was trying to put empahsis on the bow so I made it f'in big, but that's only after I realized I had put in too much time on the character/pose... ehem...*shrug* :^^;:

Me.. when everything else fails, go clean and simpe. When I was little always thought fairies would use sewing needles :).

Hi! I'm new to CA.org and, of course, the DSG.

Great topic to start on, heh... hard one.

I used Painter 8, took about an hour, and definitly slacked off at the end (cause I'm tired and must be off to sleep... Slacked off on the left leg and the lights and stuff, and the hair.. most definitly.

But I hope it's a good enough first post! I've watched this group for awhile, and I'm constantly impressed by what you guys churn out on a moment's notice. I hope I can keep up with the rest. :confident:

i just did :P drawing anything is better then drawing fairy weapons for the 5th day in a row, you dont have to join me if you dont want :p just trying to get something going here other then the same topic over and over

/edit maybe it would be better to post the new ones into the topic suggestion thread (2) so this one doesnt get cluttered with non-fairy sketches

Temporary Daily sketch group::
open for anyone to join, please do :D

You need to go to a host like imageshack.us, upload your file/pic, then copy the URL and paste it with the inclosure included right into [I]this text field
So if I had a pic uploaded, I'd copy the url, which would be something like [IMG]http://www.whateverthehellh.cmo/fdajfh.jpg[IMG] (except the final brackets would have a "/" infront of the IMG, I just can't put it in because the site software thinks I'm trying to upload a pic...t

-=Mythix=- your fairy could crawl into my cannon for combined BOOM power!

Digitalmar I love your idea. in older stories, fairies were more of a pesky ugly mischievious thing and your drawing really portrays that, as opposed to todays glamourous fairies (that im guilty of myself, heh...)

kraschtm wow.. just wow! i love the movement in your sketch, i can almost see her arms shaking !
