Ice age herbivore. its feet designed to travel over snow easily and scrape up plants buried under the snow. its legs long with hair running down it, hair running along under its neck and belly and along the top of its neck back and tail helped to act as extra protection against the cold. its horns, only used for mating purposes as its size was enough to keep predators away, but could also be used for defence..

The "Spoon Rhino" is in fact a relative to pigs, living in the ice age of 28th century earth, it has grown a strange spoon like bone structure on the top of it's head used for shoveling snow away from small grasses and roots on which it feeds. It's large eyes can detect motion and can spot danger all around it.
Thought it'd try something different - Painter over some scanned images 45 min?

I battled with this brief, couldn't come up with anything that worked.
So I approached the possibility of a behavioural change to present day animals and how this could manifest in an Ice Age future without thousands of years of evolution. Thus, rats, hunting down and feeding off those who stray too far from camp. Anyway - I call this: " Finding Susan". My apologies if it is a little off topic.

Hamsta: Nice concept. I'm trying to imagine how someone who got attacked by the enormous spoon would look.
Soulfrog: Cool! Reminds me of fallout.
Marvin5: Charming grin.
kyliegirl: A grand animal. Could be the wise grandfather ice-horse-being in a disney movie.
xStevex: Nice colors.

This is a Crylaton. Weighing in at a slim 18tons, this beasts tale has a razor sharp blade that is pointed away from the body when the limb hangs at rest. Due to cartilage growth, the tail cannot reach back any further then what is shown in the picture, this is of course a safety mechanisms, so that Crylaton doesn't accidentally impale his stupid self while having a bad dream... or a good one, for that matter. There of course is an EXCEPTION to this rule: when needing to fend off from would be rear attackers, such as the great Galitiquetiquecross, which of course is the great 12 ton carnivore Chipmunk of the future. In such dire situations, the tale is able to swing back far enough to impale the would be attacker, but in doing so it does break the cartilage and becomes dislocated. the reason for this is two fold, first, the obvious fact of being able to reach the assailant and secondly the jolt of pain is almost always sure to spur the creature into a further frenzy, if it had almost given up-, that is.
The cartilage around the tail takes only a week to fully heal back.

Goran... Nice!

In the future, all cats meet up somewhere in Sahara to discuss matters regarding them taking over as the dominant species. Eventually they decide to morph into one great big lion'ish evil thing with a cannon that freezes everything. Thus the new ice-age begins, and with that, the downfall of humanity. Since the creature is made out of all cats in the universe, it has 9 zillion lives and that makes it very difficult to kill. The only thing that would effectively destroy the cat-thingie, is to nuke its ass into hell, with all the nukes that exists. Unfortunately, that would have the nasty side effect of destroying the earth, and everything that lives on it.
Therefore the only options we have, is to kill everything, or to be killed.
