yeah I dont know, it's kind of intimidating posting on this board, considering the massive amounts of talent being displayed... this is pretty much my first shot at sculpting of any kind, and I wasnt originaly planning on painting it, but it got burnt in the oven, so I decided to give it a shot. let me know what you think.

That's pretty wild.......and a bit creepy. I think the mistake you made was baking it on tin-foil. I find it better to bake on oven-proof glass for about 15 minutes at 275 degrees. I burned my first one too.
It IS pretty cool for a first try. Next time....push it farther. Add wrinkles, little ridges in the teeth (Cause if you look at teeth they have them) and the right side from above doesn't seem to be symmetrical with the other side. (Sticks out too far at the cheek. I think even though that eye is drawn up....that cheek would still only stick out as far as the other side.) HOWEVER, it IS your sculp, and you may have wanted it to look exactly like it does. These are just things I noticed. It has a kindof "tim burtony style" You should definately keep going with this, cuz if you find it fun, you will improve. Keep it up!! There aren't enough sculptors on here.;)
It won't be long before you'll look back at this one and think....."WOW, I've come a long way!!"

(Sorry for being long-winded, but when I put a sculp on here.......I expect long crits and opinions myself)

thanks! that's exactly the type of reply that I was looking for that I have been unable to find in other forums... yeah, I didnt pay much attention to detail, cause for some reason I was certain I was gonna destroy it in the oven. But yeah, next time around I'll definately take your advice.

thanks.
