Theese anatomy studies were done by pencil and each page took about an hour to complete. C&C would be much appreciated!

All pictures were done from reference (Jenö Barcsay, Müvészeti anatómia,1998.)

These are very good, though the two lower hands on the first one and the top torso on the last one do not look like they were drawn from reference. The anatomy looks off and they have a different feel than the others; less certain and bold.
Nice work.

tahanks for the crit Dogfood, looking back at those hands&torso you mentioned I can see what you mean. I guess I was feeling lazy or something, and didn't have the patience to put the effort nessecary to make them more "real".
Here are some new ones. Comments and Crit are more than welcome, as usual :teeth:.

These are indeed sweet, but take care with your proportions. It looks like you were getting tired with the last two pages.
Very nice.

Sanby: I mostly use Jenö Barcsays book called "Müvészeti anatómia" (not sure about the spelling on that one...) and some b&w photographs that I have lying around.

Warhead82: I'm glad you like it, nice Warhammer 40k drawings on your sketchbook.
Snakebyte: That's the one (kickass book by the way :) )

Great little batch here at the end, Inkfish. I totally dig the aggressive, exploratory marks in the Caravaggio studies. And I've always liked that Bacchus painting.
Only thing I notice is that in faces, try to enforce some perspective. It'll help the eyes line up and size proportionately. Other than that, rock on, these are awesome. ;)

Clockwork: Thanks for the kind words! The Sick Bacchus -painting is pure
I see, what you mean by the perspective thing, it has been a problematic area for me for quite some time :) I guess i should do some more studies on that area. It's just so goddamned easy to bash away and not to concentrate on the essentials like the perspective.

nice stuff!!
my only crit would be to try to eaither shady smoothly or do the sketchy stuff, but not within the same piece. try to keep things consistent. (and yes i should be following my own advice >:| )

This oughtta be a sketchbook!
Your anatomy studies look good but the line quality is a little loose. It works well for the shading but not as much for the bones.
