Somewhere in the heart of the south American jungle, live a species of cat more elusive then smoke jaguars. Known only to Pygmy tribes, these upright cats have evolved their own kind of sentience and with it a special kind of magic.
As man cuts deeper into the forests, the feline people are preparing to show themselves and begin their fight for survival.
10 min Charcoal, I'll redo this once I get back home from script class ;)

Thanks Caligula, i like using the cool grey markers to add value create mood. for this particular sketch i used the 30% grey marker to sketch out a rough idea of what i wanted it to look like. Thanks for the feedback!

man....I need to take a little more time to think about my drawings....

I think the only major difference between mine and other peoples is the human skin rapped around the cows head

spent like two more minutes on it, tried not to really add alot more paint,

in photoshop, duplicated what you allready did and made it a multiply layer two or three times, made another one a linear dodge and erased some areas on the linear-dodge layer where there should be shadow,

Im no painting guru , but that one spesifically is stuck in midtones, try to flatten your picture then change it to Greyscale and see where the darks and lights are if you need to . The staff right now is the darkest area and the body is all about the same shade. Try to move the focus around with areas of high contrast or bright spots,

I just look at paintings that are much better then mine, and try to figure out why they are so much better, then apply that to what Im trying to do, hope that helps
