I did this portrait a few days ago. please tell me what you think of it. the style is completely new to me, I normally draw things over and over until their completely lifeless, yet realistic.

It's not bad, but I can't tell who it is supposed to be. :[

I'd spend a little more time experimenting with the charcol to see what it can do. You can get an incredible range of gradation with it, much like you can with pencil if you work at it.

I normally try that, this was just an experiment and the minimal use of gradiation was part of it. and it was not meant to be a specific someone, just a fast drawn face...
