How does this work? (Pardon my ignorance) I am assuming MODs are modifications or additions made to games by gamers and not professionals, correct? Have there ever been any abuses by people who use an artist for their mod and then never give them credit or use it for a product that actually gets put up for sale?

It does seem like it would be a great way to build a number of concept art samples that are at least somewhat consistent in theme.

Though I am currently too busy with other clients, I will definitely keep my eye open for when my work load lightens a bit... Thanks for the suggestion.

If you are looking to get into the gaming industry, and can't get an internship or a entry job, MODS are the way to go.. If you put the effort out, and do some terrific stuff, not only will you have enhanced your portfolio, but you will have actual experience working on a game, and if you do a fantastic job, somebody will notice..
