first Digital painting since coming here!

man, i like to believe i absorbed a lot here... so i tested myself out.
i drew a quick sketch of GoNagai's DEVILMAN LADY... it came out alright, so i thought i'd go ahead and paint it with photoshop.
i tried to use bold strokes and such, but man its tough! please let met know what you guys think!
TOUGH CRITS PLEASE! i dont mind, only way i can improve, no? It's far from finished, i thought i'd get input before getting to far with the piece...

Well, it looks okay so far, but it still needs a lot of work? there is hardly any definition what so ever. First I think you need to pic a light source, and then based on that light the figure with it. I know its harder than it sounds. I can't get it yet either. Make us see how the round or long the figure is through light and shadow.

Don't give up! keep practicing, its the only way you'll get better.

thanks for the comment... the definition will be tough! now i compare my art to the people on this site, and geez... its a high goal to obtain, but i know i can do it! ha ha... i'll keep posting my updates to get constant feed back
