Mr. Jones, at the risk of sounding sycophantic, I just wanted to say that you and your self-portraits were one of the main reasons I registered at this forum. I can lose myself for ages studying all your many portraitures. They’re definitely a source of motivation for me to continue my drawing. Since graduating, I had begun to slack off in drawing despite the fact that I needed to continue working through some rather significant weaknesses in my technique. However, since looking at your portraits here, I’ve remembered why I should be working a little bit each day on my drawing. So thank you, and don’t you dare stop or I’ll come after you with a shovel.
