Here is a sculpture that I did of me and a giraffe with mixed features. It was for my midterm at college. Cant get enough critique. Can't get enough.

That looks great!! I can definitely tell that it is cross between a giraffe, and a human. The only thing I could suggest is to add more texture lines to the skin.....I am not sure what giraffe skin looks like close up; Aren't they kind of fuzzy???? you'd probably be better off to keep most of the skin texture human, but it's up to you.
do you plan on making a mold of it and painting it?? or will you just recycle the clay for another project???

No. believe it or not this was a two week project. I would love to paint but it is the wrong kind of clay but I might think twice about skin texture. Thanz for your replies!

it's made of plasticine oil-based clay right???? If so, that's the same stuff I used for the raptor head. Making a mold was kind of difficult, but moslty messy.
Besides, making a mold of that would be tricky since its mouth is open like it is.
It looks great for being only two weeks!!!

The clay is oil based. If it was water based then I could actually cook it and paint it!! The clay is called chavant. I gotta keep movin so after the pics I will say good bye giraffe. Thanx for the replies Solitary!
