[Monsterboy]

Hey everyone, I'm relatively new here and have decided to keep up a sketchbook. I plan on going to SCAD next fall to study ilustration/ sequential art/ industrial design, not really sure yet which.

Here are some sketches from a sketchbook I'm working on right now. It's actually the first sketchbook that I'm gonna attempt to fill. Enjoy.

Nice beginings, bro. You seem to have some skills here so let me enlighten you to what will help you out. You've probably already heard this tho if you've been cruising these forums for any length of time but do studies! Anatomy studies, life drawing studies, the works! Your work will improve ten fold. These sketchbooks are proof of that. Just look through some of them and you'll see the progression of these people in their threads. Hurricane's is a good one to check out. He's improved so much in the past year. So yea, as Reo said, keep pushin' on. I can't wait to see you're new stuff!

Hey, thanks for the advice, I will seriously consider working and posting some studies next.

When I bought this sketchbook and opened it up, I didn't really know where to begin. As you can see form these few images, it's pretty random stuff. I should spend some good amount of pages working on figure studies before doing some more non-reference drawing.

For the longest time, my figures and faces had the same problems day in and day out, until I finally sat down and did some figure studies and some portrait drawing for maybe a day or two. When I got back into drawing from my head, I could notice a huge difference in my style and the amount of realism I was able to reproduce without any help. Thanks again for the comment and check back for some figure studies.
