I haven't played the game that much, but the concept art that i've seen has been kicking my ass.. I guess that would be a good investment.

It should read "The Art of Halo: Condensing a Virtual World into a corridor."

Yeah I bought it from Electronic Boutique about 3 weeks ago actually....I sort of figured you guys knew about it already so I didn't post it.

There are some artwork in there from Mr Goodbrush. So its a really good snatch at about CAD$30

yeah, picked it up... really dissappointing if you've looked through the bungie.com galleries and goodbrush.com much.

i mean, really.. it doesn't go into much detail on anything, it just seems really sloppy and thrown-together. it's like the nda was never lifted and all the stuff they could show back in, um.. whenever halo came out is still the only stuff they're allowed to show.

I think the 2d portions are good enough. These are production art mind you. If you draw for a living under tight deadlines you can't afford to make everything that you do to be a masterpiece.

I actually wished the Doom 3 making-of book had more of Lead Artist Kenneth Scott's sketches or a peek at Kevin Cloud's sketchbooks. And more pics of the concept maquettes other id artists have done since the beginning.
