You've got a wonderful start! Keep those studies up! You're puttin' in all right ingredients! Just let it simmer! I'll be watching for updates for sure! The drapery looked really nice and those animal studies are great!

Good start ::: Pay more attention to the overall form as you render ::: it is very easy to get so involved in the details that you lose site of the whole.
Putting a heavy outline on everything also tends to flatten out the form.
Remember the basic approach to creating the illusion of dimension>
Side planes away from the light and down planes are dark ::: this also applies to line as well.

i think you've got a real solid understanding of how shadow works with the form there. i think mr. mentler is right about the outline thing, especially with how much your more refined pictures go using those outlines can subtract from what you've been doing well:) i'm a big fan of yer pages, they're just thick with studies, keep on rockin

Good folds ::: well done hands ::: draw more render less ::: you are doing a great job of rendering the details in the folds, but you are losing the overall form unit ::: the result becomes flat even though you have rendered the smaller forms well.

If you have not looked at ~hanging flesh~ today take a look i am trying something a little different at least it is different for me!
