This morning I get up and start to pack. As usual when it comes to flying, I am running late. I stuff some clothes in the suitcase and zip it half way up before realizing I forgot the clothes in the dryer. I run out, grab the clothes, open the lid to the suitcase and notice that the inner lid is down. oh well, Im in a hurry right? So I throw in the other clothes and zip it up. I rush the the airport, get thru all the lines, check my bag, and head to the plane. As I am about to board, the woman says to me "you are going to have to wait here sir, there are people coming to talk to you. I'm like "hmmm...is there something in the outside pockets of the bag that I dont know about? Maybe there is a scissors or something??"

All I know is that Im getting horrible looks from the people there at the counter. I turn to see two police officers walking up. "we need you to come with us sir!" So we start walking. The cop tells me that there is something in my bag...I'm like "what is in my bag?" He says there is a cat in my bag. WHAT????!!!!!.....and it went thru the xray machine. Seems it got a pretty heavy dose and they don't know what will happen. He says to me "now how did a cat get in your bag? huh??? you going to tell me it just crawled in there???" I literally start to run to the baggage check so i can open and see if she is ok.

You see, my kitty had kittens and one is a trouble maker. This one was given to Insane Visions and she is very beautiful but she is second generation from wild and is a sweet but fiesty brat. I was very sad that she might not be ok, especially since I raised her since birth. They did not know if she was alive or not.

I run up to the baggage area and there are three other police officers waiting there. The take my ID, I get searched, and then I tell them I dont care about any of this because I need to know if rich's kitten is ok!!!. Finally all the police officers surround me and escort me to the airport station where they agree to let me open the bag. They were all over me as they thought I was trying to sneak this cat on the plane. For one, shipping pets on airplanes is lame unless they are in the cabin. For two, IT ISN'T MY CAT!!. At this point they didn't believe a word iI said.

I get searched again and put in a holding cell and told "you arent under arrest sir...we are just DETAINING you." Is there a difference? Anyhow, I hear them bringing my bag. They bring the bag in the cell and i unzip it. At this point they think its some exotic pet and do not know what kind of animal I am smuggling. They tell me that i shouldnt open it as that cat is going to go all over the place. I told them " she's a kitten. I am taking her out." I didnt care what they said. I open it up and there she is. Staring at me is the cutest little golden kitty...still alive. Thank goodness.

They ask me a hundred questions and try to tell me what is going to happen. I told them that I didnt care about that at all and they could just handle it. Right now I wanted to know if she was going to make it after getting all that radiation. I think at that point that they saw I had no care at all for what was going to happen to me that day other than wanting to know what was going to happen to the kitty. I think they realized then that I really wasnt trying to smuggle a cat aboard an airplane.

I called rich and android who came to pick me and the cat up. Flight missed. Adventure had. Police were very professional and very nice. I am actually going to write them a thank you for finding her. I dont know what would have happened if they did not. Good to see that airport security actually works.

Four more hours til i try to leave again. This time NO CATS!!!!!
