Anyone interested in anatomy should take a look at the site of Rey Bustos.

The Flash movies of rotating ecorche skeletons are especially cool

Los Angelenos should take note that he is offering a class in this ecorche technique at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art.

I am taking his class (#37) in Q1 2005

Can that semi skeleton/anatomy model be bought or did he make it himself? I'm interested in buying them as a reference

He made it. I don't know if he sells them or not.
That's what the class is all about, as well. You hand sculpt each bone, then you muscle it up in clay.
here's the same general idea as a commercially available resin figure from someone else:

Damn those casts are sweet, but I don't know if I'd shell out $150 - $350 for them.

I'm about halfway through with the Rey Bustos class. Here's my work in progress. When done, it will have muscles as well as bones.
