Here's something I've been working on in Photoshop recently.

C+C welcome, especially about the overall mood or color.

:)

my guess is that the eyes, especially if you'd drawn them open, would be too big. that's what seems to be throwing off the proportions of the face. in comparison to the lower region, the nose and mouth, the upper region is widening the face. For instance, a usual point of reference is that the corners of the mouth are supposed to line up with the center of the eyes.

For color, i'm no expert on this mind you.. but it seems the white hilites are too harsh. if you squint your eyes, you might notice that the contrast is distracting. I'd also suggest, for the moonlight reflections, that you give her a bit of a halo, kind of like you've got around the moon. I was looking at spawn the other day, randomly, and it seems related enough.

see how there's that glow around him? it's white and then it fades to that light blue.

If you like that sort of look, i hope it helps

Thanks for the comments. Once I'm done I'll be adding some more atmospherics, so that should take care of a nice halo around her. I'm still working on the eyes. I think they're "the right size" for what I was going for, but they look a little too far apart, so hopefully bringing them in a little will help balance things out.

I'm used to getting a basic drawing correct before working towards a "finished" version, but in this case I've been painting without making a correct drawing, so I've been winging it a bit. So I appreciate your comments! :)

I've moved the eyes closer together and down a little bit. Also the biggest thing was a total redo of the lips, which I am much happier with. :)
