given your really nice sun-in-the-background lighting it seems to me that his body is kinda 'flat' (esp. his left hand with the shotgun). i'm really the last person who should point this out, but oh well.

i agree: the sky is great.

thanks alot for the feedback. good point that he looks a little flat, i'll see if i can make him more dimensional.

I like it a lot. The perspective, colours, everything.

Personally, I would've liked to see some birds(eagles, vultures) circling way up in the air, up and to the left of his head, but you know - way up there and far away. Or maybe just one.

That's probably just my own personal preference though, and I'm not sure it would even work.

But IMO it would balance it.
