there's something very encouraging about seeing the earlier stages of a piece you admire.

it's encouraging that you have to worry about the same things that i've to worry about while painting from imagination... your results are much better though :).

I love this tutorial!:eek: just one question, what does kicker mean? when you use it like "blue kicker" does that simply mean that you add a blue light to spruce, or kick things up a notch?

Nice to see I'm not that far off from using the same technique.
But when you start out with such a small canvas, and at a small resolution, what then if you want to print it?
Won't it get blurry if you just resize it to 300dpi and let's say 2x4 inches?
I start my canvases out at 300dpi.
