Massive Black Inc. will be interviewing for all artist positions (modelers, texture painters, concept artists, and animators) at the workshop as well as looking to fill three internship positions at our new San Fran Studio. Internships will start between mid jan and early march. Internship positions are 3 months. Having a job offer on your desk by the end of the internship is not out of the question. Do you want to work on only cool stuff? Do you want to work on many of the biggest game projects in development? Now is a good chance to do exactly that.
The internship positions are exclusive to the workshop participants. If you are coming, be sure your portfolios are ready.
3D Modeling Intern: A modeling intern for MB will experience a full range of 3d jobs assisting with some of the biggest game projects in development. Knowledge of 3d studio max or maya is key. A modeling portfolio showing both hard surface and organic surface samples would be helpful.
Texture Painter Internship: The texture intern will experience positions working on characters, cool items, and beautiful worlds. We look for a painter with a good knowledge of color, drawing ability, texture samples or strong illustrations showing an interest in beautiful surface detail and the like. Software to be learned or further understood includes: Deep Paint, Painter, Photoshop, and 3ds max.
Concept Art Intern: Artists will work on character, creature, environment, and prop conceptual developement. Portfolios should include a balance of character, creature, environment, tech, props and other designs. if all you have is character stuff it better be that good...if you know what I mean. Concept artists need a variety of skills and as an intern at MB you will see growth in your work very quickly. Knowledge of anatomy, structure, gesture, technology, and draftsmanship skills are necessary. A creative mind is key.
Good luck to all!
